partnering with parents
in equipping their 6th–12th graders
to take their next steps in christ
Overland Students exists to equip the next generation of ministers, missionaries, and everyday evangelists to take the next steps in their relationships with Christ.
By partnering with parents, we work to build a firm foundation of biblical truth and relational discipleship in every student’s life.
Our hope is simple: that students will be empowered to live out their faith boldly right now, and that they will be fully equipped to follow Jesus wherever He leads them in the future.

Trek: Wednesday Nights

6:00pm – 7:30pm | Middle & High School
Trek is our weekly environment designed specifically for students to connect with God and one another. Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or you’re just starting to ask questions about faith, there is a place for you here.

What Trek looks like
The Hangout: We kick things off with intentional time to relax, catch up with friends, and jump into high-energy games.
Worship & Teaching: We transition into a time of corporate worship and a message from the Bible that speaks directly to the joys and challenges students face today.
Small Groups: Students break into groups divided by age and gender to process the teaching, ask honest questions, and pray for one another. In these groups, students aren't just numbers—they are known and mentored by caring leaders who are committed to walking alongside them throughout their middle and high school years.

Student FAQ
I don't know anyone at Overland—will it be awkward?
We get it—walking into a room of people can be intimidating! Our team is specifically looking for new faces. We’ll introduce you to some students in your grade and make sure you have a spot in a small group so you aren't flying solo.
Can I bring my friends if they don't go to Overland?
100% yes. Trek is designed to be a place where anyone, regardless of their church background, can come hang out and explore faith. We love meeting new people!
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you’re comfortable in. Most students show up in what they wore to school that day. Whether that’s a hoodie and jeans or a sports jersey, you’ll fit right in.
What is there for me at Overland on Sunday mornings?
Sunday mornings are all about the "Whole Body" experience! We encourage all of our students to join their families in the main worship service. This is a great time to engage in worship, hear the same teaching as the adults, and see how you fit into the larger church family.
Want to take it a step further? Many of our students also use Sunday mornings as an opportunity to serve. Whether it’s helping out in Overland Kids, running tech behind the scenes, or welcoming people at the door, we’d love to help you find a place to use your gifts! Student Groups
While Trek is our high-energy weekly gathering, Student Groups are where deeper discipleship and life-on-life connections happen. These age- and gender-specific Bible studies meet during the week, providing a consistent space for students to dive into Scripture and navigate the unique challenges of middle and high school. In these smaller circles, students are truly known, encouraged, and mentored by trusted leaders as they grow in their faith together.
Finding a group that fits your schedule and grade is simple. Head over to our Group Finder and use the "Group Type" filter to select "Students" to see all current offerings.
Whether you are looking for a place to ask tough questions or just a community of friends who follow Jesus, there is a group waiting to welcome you.

Middle School Transition
At Overland Church, our Middle School Transition Milestone is a meaningful step as students begin one of the most significant seasons of growth in their lives. Starting middle school is a big deal—and we want families to know they are not walking through it alone.
This milestone event is designed to come alongside parents and students as they prepare for this new chapter, offering encouragement, biblical grounding, and practical tools for what’s ahead. Together, we focus on identity in Christ, growing independence, and building a strong foundation of faith that can stand in a changing season.
As a church, we are committed to walking with families every step of the way—supporting, praying, and partnering with them as students step into middle school with their church family around them.

Senior Send-Off
At Overland Church, our Senior Send-Off is a very special milestone where we pause to celebrate, commission, and bless graduating high school seniors as they step into their next chapter. This moment is both a celebration of what God has done in their lives so far and a commissioning into what comes next—whether that is college, work, military service, or other paths ahead.
We gather as a church family to pray over them, speak truth and encouragement, and remind them that they are deeply loved, equipped, and sent by God. Our hope is that each student leaves this milestone grounded in their identity in Christ, confident in their faith, and assured that they are not stepping into the future alone—the church is with them, and God goes before them.
